WE’RE HIRING!
Client Care Adviser & Receptionist
Low Waters Veterinary Centre
The Face of Our Practice
Are you a "people person" with a heart for animals and an eye for detail? We are a proud, independent small animal practice looking for a dedicated Client Care Adviser to join our close-knit team.
In our world, you aren’t "just" a receptionist - you are the first friendly face a client sees during a happy puppy check-up and the compassionate hand they hold during their most difficult days.
The Role
As our Client Care Adviser, you are the "Face of the Practice." This is a high-responsibility role that requires a unique blend of professional polish and genuine warmth.
Key Responsibilities:
The Front Line: Managing the front desk, welcoming clients, and ensuring a smooth flow of appointments.
Communication: Handling busy phone lines with confidence, managing emails, and coordinating between clients and the clinical team.
Financial Integrity: Responsible cash handling, processing payments, and assisting with insurance claims.
Administration: Maintaining precise digital records; being computer literate is essential. Ensuring the waiting area is pristine and welcoming.
Who You Are
We are looking for a professional who can juggle a ringing phone and a wagging tail without losing their cool.
Confident & Tactful: You are comfortable dealing with a wide variety of people and can handle busy periods with grace.
Empathetic: You understand that vet visits can be stressful or emotional, and you know how to provide support when it’s needed most.
Responsible: You are detail oriented, organised, and comfortable handling financial transactions.
A Team Player: You want to work in an environment where your contribution is noticed and valued every day.
Veterinary Passion: While prior vet experience is a bonus, a love for animals and a commitment to high-standard pet care is essential.
Why Join Our Independent Practice?
Unlike large corporate chains, we are a local business that makes our own decisions. We value our staff as individuals, not numbers, and we pride ourselves on the long-term relationships we build with our clients and their pets.
Pay & Benefits
We believe that a team providing exceptional care deserves a wage that reflects the true cost of living.
Working Hours: Full-Time (Approx. 38 hours per week)
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
Living Wage Employer: We are proud to be an accredited Real Living Wage employer, paying above the government’s statutory minimum
