May Bank Holidays: Opening Hours & Keeping Your Pet Safe
Spring is finally here! With two Bank Holidays falling on Monday 4th May and Monday 25th May, we’re all looking forward to some extra time with our pets. We’ve put together a quick guide on our opening hours and some seasonal safety tips.
Our Holiday Opening Hours:
Saturday 2 & 23 May: 9:00am – 12:30pm (Normal Emergency Service at Beechwood)
Sunday 3 & 24 May: CLOSED
Monday 4 & 26 May: CLOSED
Tuesday 5 & 26 May: 8:30am – 7pm (Normal Service)
What to do in an Emergency: We hope you won’t need us, but if you do, our out-of-hours cover is provided by Emergency Vets Glasgow & Vets Now.
Don't Get Caught Short: Please check your pet’s medication and therapeutic diets now. Bank Holiday deliveries can sometimes be delayed, so we recommend ordering your repeats at least 4 working days in advance. You can order directly through PetsApp or by calling the surgery.
Quick May Safety Tips:
BBQ Hazards: Keep corn on the cob and kebab skewers away from curious noses—they are common causes of surgical blockages!
Spring Flowers: Remember that Lilies are highly toxic to cats, and Azaleas can be dangerous for dogs.
Tick Season: As the weather warms, ticks become active in long grass. Ensure your preventative treatment is up to date.
Wishing you and your pets a wonderful, sunny long weekend! — The Teams at Beechwood & Low Waters
